Notice to all trail users (both pedestrian and bicycle!): Please obey all traffic control devices and signs on the Rail Trail! We have received reports of individuals on bicycles that fail to stop at active road crossings with stop signs posted. Many of our rural roads carry heavy farm machinery traffic and these vehicles may not be able to stop quickly enough to avoid a bike rider crossing the road at speed.

Remember: if you are on a bicycle, even on the rail trail, you are considered a vehicle and are subject to the same rules and regulations as cars/trucks/etc. Failing to heed stop and yield signs puts both you and drivers on the roadways at risk!!

So please: Heed the signs, wear a helmet and RIDE SAFE!
